FAQs
Does laser hair removal hurt?
Depending on the area, you can feel some discomfort,
it hurts less than waxing and has better results.
How long does laser hair removal last?
Results vary depending on skin and hair type. For some it's permanent, but for others you might need to come in periodically for maintenance treatments.
What happens after the appointment?
You might have some redness and swelling right after which should subside within a few hours. Your hair will regrow and should fall out since the follicles are now damaged. Then once the next hair cycle begins you can come in for round 2!
How soon will I notice results
You should notice a reduction of hair after the first session. Your skin will feel smoother and you should have less ingrowns.
How long do the session take?
Anywhere from 5-30 minutes depending on the area we are treating. Full body will take longer. We leave extra time before and after you session in case you have any questions/concerns you’d like to chat about.
Are there any skin limitations?
We can’t do laser treatments on people with skin autoimmune disorders or eczema. Laser also doesn’t work well on light grey hair or white hair.
Why do some people need to come in for maintenance treatments more often compared to others?
Certain hormonal conditions or changes in your hormones can cause an increase in hair growth. Pregnancy and PCOS are great examples of this, the increased hormones in your body will cause the hair to come back.
For people with lighter hair colours the laser takes more treatments to properly damage the follicle, so you may need to come for reoccurring maintenance, which could be as little as 1-2 times a year.
